The Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority - The main goal of the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority is to protect human and animal health. It tries to do so by closely monitoring food and consumer products. The Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority is an independent agency of the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality and a delivery agency for the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport. Its three main tasks are: supervision, risk assessment and risk communication.

EFSA - The European Food Safety Authority plays an important role in European Union risk assessment regarding food and feed safety. In acts in close collaboration with national authorities and in open consultation with its stakeholders, and provides independent scientific advice and clear communication on existing and emerging risks.

ILSI - The International Life Sciences Institute is a nonprofit, worldwide foundation seeking to improve the well-being of the general public through the advancement of science. Its goal is to further the understanding of scientific issues relating to nutrition, food safety, toxicology, risk assessment, and the environment by bringing together scientists from academia, government, and industry. BEUC - The Bureau Européen des Unions de Consommateurs, or the European Consumers' Organisation, aims to promote basic consumers rights, such as the rights to adequate safety information, choice, representation, education, the satisfaction of basic needs, and a clean environment.
